What to drink: Paneer (பன்னீர்) flavoured lassi
Where: JB Choudhary Lassi Stall, West Masi St, Madurai
Verdict: If you ever want to taste the Madurai' best lassi, just visit the small lassi stall few blocks away from the house where Gandhiji stayed. I saw this stall for several years since my childhood.
Had a nice chat with Suresh Sanghvi, Stall owner who is also a member in FB. He sells thick curd for 35₹ per glass. A Bombay lassi costs 30₹ with ice and 35₹ with no ice. Adds a thick layer of curd, bit of sugar as topping and a little bit of paneer at the end which adds rich fragrance to the drink. Lassi is available only during day time. At night, he sells hot badam milk.
