Courtallam Border Rahmath Kadai

What to eat: Parotta and Country Chicken Fry

Where: Courtallam Border Rahmath Kadai, G.S.T Road, Tambaram Sanitorium, Chennai

Verdict: Due to some business I had to go to MEPZ today. So decided to have dinner with my colleague in border parotta kadai. Car parking is available on the road side. For two wheelers, a covered parking is provided. As soon as we enter the resto, we felt like entering a chettiyar's house as the interior was made like a Chettiyar palace. Ambience was pretty good and well lit.We want just to taste a single parotta and have dosa to fill the tummy. Our faces shrunk when we came to know that kal dosa was not available.

Ordered for Parotta(15₹), Veechu parotta(30₹), Nattu kozhi(Country chicken) kothu onion fry(160₹), Masala kakki(50₹) and Karandi omlette(40₹). All were awesome except that Veechu parotta was too much oily. Price was nominal especially Nattu Kozhi was surely worth for what we pay.

I would not recommend anyone to visit this place on regular basis due to the ill effects of parotta. But you can't miss the country chicken kothu....so you may opt for briyani for main along with country chicken kothu. However if they serve dosai and appam, then we can make it as regular. For my vegetarian friends, I don't think its your cup of tea. Better go for some where else like the nearby Hot Chips.
