Hotel Saravanaa Bhavan Southall

What to eat: Tamil Nadu style Vegetarian Cuisine

Where: Hotel Saravanaa Bhavan, South Road, Southall, England, UK

Verdict: We were back to bachelor's life due to an official deputation in UK for few months. Over a period of time, we got tired of cooking. So our room mates have decided to have some chennai food in UK.Took couple of trains to Southall where there is a big Indian community. Entered the resto and ordered for dosai(3.25£) and South Indian meals (7.25£).

Dosai was big enough for a person. It was accompanied with coconut chutney, tomato chutney, mint chutney and sambhar. veg meals had some veggie poriyal, kootu, sambar, vatha kolambu, rasam, curd, raita, chappati with dal, appalam, a pinch of pickle along with limited rice. It was delicious as usual.

The event was a little costly affair. But once in a while it is definitely worth to have such divine food to calm down the craving soul. If you need cheaper options, then you may visit "Little Tamil Nadu" or "Little Eelam" of London called "East Ham".
