Aashiq Khana

What to eat: Chicken Kebab/Tandoori/Sheek/Fried Rice

Where: Aashiq Khana, Parking lot of Heritage Supermarket, Maduravaoyal, Chennai

Verdict: Bought some chicken sheek kebab (30₹), tikka (190₹) and fried rice (90₹) packed for dinner. Fried rice was made with no ajinomoto as I told. Both Sheek Kebab and Chicken Tikka were so reddish, looked as due to addition of food color, rather it was kashmiri mirchi which gave bright color. However the accompanied mint chutney was not actually made out of mint, rather it was just green food color added in curd. So we have to throw that one in garbage. Chicken fried rice was simple as usual. Both type of kebabs were tasty, but too spicy due to kashmiri mirchi. I don't think I will visit again to get these spicy kebabs. But I will definitely visit again for those varieties of Shawarmas which they serve and various food available in other stalls.

This place is so lively with lot of people flocking the various stalls around the parking lot. There are stalls selling sugarcane juice, fried chicken (5 star), Burmese Atho, Tibetien Momos,...There is enough space for parking few cars and bikes. You may go just for grocery shopping but may end up eating tummy full of yummy food.
