Where: Kakada Ramprasad, Ormes Road, Chennai
Verdict: It was a Sunday evening meet for our friends group in an unusual place called Kakada Ramprasad. This shop is best known chat shop in Mint Street. We a group of 4 guys visited their Kilpauk branch for a get-together. Ordered for Dahi Papdi chat, Aloo Tikki, Jilebi, Raj Kachori. Total bill was 230₹. All of them were freshly prepared... infact Jilebi was fried infront of us. I would say this place is the top-notch eatery for chat items with easy accessibility, enough space for parking car as the road is pretty wide compared to its main branch in Sowkarpet. At the end, bought some samosas and Jilebi for home.
Few points to note:
1. They don't accept credit card. So you can pay only by cash.
2. Purified water is provided with no charge.
3. This place is a self service. If you want someone to serve you, then this is not a place for you.
4. There is enough parking space for 3-4 cars. Otherwise you can park on the road side.
5. Best time is to go after 5 or 6pm as some items will get prepared only by that time.
6. You can buy gujarati snacks and sweets. They also sell fresh paneer for 350₹.
