What to eat: Ashoka Halwa

Verdict: A tiny shop in a small town sells one of the delicious south indian dessert called "Ashoka Halwa". Locals call it as Thiruvaiyaru halwa which costs 300₹ per kilo over here. Found they also sell regular wheat halwa and favourites like kara sev, mixture and ompodi.
Moong dal is the main ingredient in ashoka halwa. It is very much different than wheat halwa in texture and it doesn't give stuffy feeling like wheat halwa after consumption.
Andavar stall is so famous that they have kept wooden tables and chair for people to sit and eat the sweet. They also give little amount of mixture after you finish the halwa. If you have a sweet tooth like me, then this place is a must to visit.
