What to eat: Pongal, Vadai, Dosai, Filter Coffee
Location: The Modern Restaurant, Nethaji Road, Madurai
Verdict: It's a pleasure to have breakfast in modern restaurant before a
darshan in Meenakshi Temple. Ordered for Pongal(45₹), Vadai(20₹), Ghee
roast(62₹), Dosai(45₹), Sweet Kesari(25₹) and Filter coffee(20₹). Pongal
was yummy, goes well with sambar and coconut chutney and onion/tomato
chutney. Vadai was pretty big and crispy as expected. Dosai and Ghee
roast(bit crispy) were perfect. Sweet kesari was a pleasant surprise.
Ended the meal by bolting down a perfectly blended filter coffee.
