What to eat: Indian and Continental Cuisine
Where: Indian Coffee House, Near Beach, Alleppey, Kerala
Verdict: This place was on top of our eateries plan when we decided to visit Alleppuzha. But we were disappointed to see everything was finished except dosa by the time we reached at 7:30pm. Later came to know that they close by 9pm itself. Never seen a resto doing good business close so
early in Chennai. Even Malayalee running restaurants open till late night in Chennai like Crescent,..
So we had to order only dosa (29₹), omlette(22₹) and hot badam milk (20₹).
Surprised to see potato in the accompanied sambar. Also had coconut chutney alongwith dosa. Dosa size was bit smaller than we we used to get in Tamilnadu. Omlette was regular with 2 eggs. But I noticed bit low salt in most of the dishes, not sure if only I feel that or for all. Badam milk was too hot, but very watery. However it was definitely value for money due to the low food cost.
Next time we have to go early to try their Parotta and NonVeg gravies. You should not miss this resto in your Alleppey visit as there are not much places to eat in this small town. And this resto has many branches across the state of Kerala.
