Been with a friend for dinner at hotel campus last evening. It's a
keralite eatery located at Arcot road just opposite to AVM studios. Our
friends group is regular to this place, mostly for their grilled
chicken. Their grilled chicken is one of the best in the city.
Started with half grill(150₹). It was bit oily, but the topped up masala
elevated the flavour. Accompanied mayo was not great, but it was not a
problem when the meat and the non-spicy masala were heavenly.
One great thing about this place is they never add artificial
colouring(or atleast I have never seen that) and coconut oil was used
whereever possible. That's why we told to bring butter chicken
masala(150₹) and kerala paratta (28₹).
Never order a combo as
you will get only a regular rubbery parotta. We always ask for a
keralese version which was cooked with coconut oil and was larger in
diameter compared to regular one. Loved to smell the aroma of coconut
oil. One may not need more than a single paratta.
Butter chicken
masala was little sweeter with 4 or 5 pieces of boney fried chicken. It
was not a bad choice, more enough of two. Heard they are famous for
seafood like kallumakkay (mussels), karimeen and fish moily. Anyhow
there is always a next time
