Virudhunagar Kamaliya

Whilst on a road trip, we were travelling via virudhu nagar. Therefore decided to have lunch at Burma kadai or Banu restaurant(best one in the town). As it was too late, briyani was not available at both the places. So we had to visit Kamaliya restaurant located at Madurai road.

Ordered for a seeraga samba rice based mutton briyani(200₹) and basmati based chicken briyani(180₹). Both were good with the accompanied onion raita and salna. Had to get a plain briyani(145₹) later which was just like mutton briyani with no pieces.

Sides made today's lunch special. Especially the boneless fish fry(170₹) and fish pepper(140₹) were lovely, especially the kids ate with no worries about the bones. So we had to repeat fish pepper. Also ordered a mutton Sukka (165₹) which was pretty good.

They also have a garden restaurant on the service lane of highway (NH44) for a relaxed atmosphere. I would have preferred Banu restaurant (located on the same road) at first place, but Kamaliya is also not a bad option in this little town.
